Yes, you can limit how people sign up for your referral programs.
We offer three sign-up modes:
Open Access (Default) - Anyone can sign up for the referral program and immediately access their Member Portal
Requires Approval - After registering via the Program Landing Page, the person must be approved by a program admin
Not Allowed - Only a program admin can add members to the program (existing members can login via the Program Landing Page but no one new can join)
If you already have a list of people you want to join, you may import them via a CSV file to enroll them in your program. See our Import Guide for more details.
Member Access Settings
Follow these instructions for any Program where you want to update the Member Sign-Up Mode.
From within the Program Editor, navigate to the banner at the top click on the gear toggle on the right-hand side of the screen, and select 'Access Settings'
βUnder Member Sign-up Mode select the desired mode.
Edit the Sign-up Approval & Limit Hit Message as desired and select Save.
When a member requests to join or you hit your member limit, they will see this message on the Program Landing Page when attempting to join your program.
Member Approval
When you are ready to approve a member's request to join a program, just click on your Members tab from your dashboard home and select 'Pending Requests' from the dropdown menu (or click here).
Ways to create an invite-only program
If you want to create a program that's invite-only, and that the public cannot join or access, you have three options:
Option 1: Remove the registration link from all public places, and only email it to the members you've chosen to invite.
Option 2: Select the Requires Approval access mode. Then, have the members you've invited request to join the program so you can add only the members you've invited.
Option 3: Select the Not Allowed access mode. Then, add only the members you've invited and who have accepted your invitation.
Use one of these options if you'd like to run a more exclusive affiliate or partner program.
