Overview
Referral Rock partners with Tango to fulfill gift card rewards for members and referrals. This makes rewarding your members and referrals straightforward with hundreds of options to choose from, including retailer-specific cards, prepaid cards, and charity donations.

Before you start
You must be an Admin, Manager or Supervisor role.
This premium payout option is available on Professional Plus and Engage Plus plans.
You must create a new, free Tango account within Referral Rock; you cannot use an existing external Tango account.

Gift Card Options
Referral Rock offers a number of e-gift card options for rewards, including:
Reward Link (This allows the user to choose from dozens of gift cards, including donations. Reward Link is available in 10+ currencies/options. See the Reward Link Catalog to learn more.)
Global Choice Link – Gives recipients worldwide flexibility to redeem rewards across multiple regions and currencies.
Amazon Gift Cards
Mastercard Prepaid (USD, EUR, GBP, HDK, JPY, AUD)
Retailer-Specific cards like Starbucks Gift Cards
Donation Gift Cards (30+ non profits)
Gift cards are fulfilled via email and will include all instructions needed for the recipient to activate the card and redeem their rewards. Please visit Tango's reward catalog for more information on each card type.
Set up Your Tango Account
To issue rewards, you must fund your Tango account through the Referral Rock platform.
From the Gift Cards block, select Settings (gear icon).
Select Manage Account.
Option 1: Credit Card
Add a card to fund the account. A 3.5% processing fee applies. If using a credit card, enter the security code sent to your email to authorize the transaction.
Option 2: ACH Wire Transfer
View instructions to send funds via bank transfer. There is no fee for ACH transfers.

Tip: Tango accounts default to USD, but you can also fund in CAD, EUR, or GBP. If you want to fund in a non-USD currency, contact Support using the blue icon in the bottom-right before adding funds. Requests must be made prior to funding.
Warning: Reward recipients will not be charged any fees for receiving a virtual gift card through Tango (default delivery method).
But in rare instances, a recipient may opt for a physical gift card to be delivered to an address, which will result in a small delivery fee subtracted from their gift card amount.
Customize Recipient Messages
Gift cards are fulfilled via email and will include all instructions needed for the recipient to activate the card and redeem their rewards. You can customize the email message for each specific type of gift card associated with your reward rules. Learn more about the gift card recipient experience.
Select the Settings (gear icon) on the Gift Cards block.
Select the Recipient Message option for the specific card type (e.g., Recipient Message - Amazon USD).
Update the Subject line.
Edit the Message body.
Add merge tags to personalize the content.
Select Save.
Note: While the text and subject line are customizable, the overall layout of the email sent by Tango cannot be changed.
Monitor Account Balance and Notifications
The Manage Gift Cards page allows you to track your spending and ensure you have enough funds to fulfill rewards.
Review the Available Balance, Total Deposits, and Total Payments in the Gift Card Balance section.
Navigate to the Low Amount Notification section.
Define the threshold amount.
Enter the email address that should receive alerts when the balance falls below that amount.
Review the Funding History table to check the status of recent deposits.
Note: Referral Rock can’t auto update your Tango balance.

Tango Gift Cards do not have an automatic rollback process.
If a gift card is sent to the wrong email or remains unclaimed, you must contact support with the following information: email of the recipient, the amount, your Tango account name, and your Tango Account number. Tango charges a 25% fee for cancellations that is deducted from the refund amount.

Please contact support if you need to cancel an unclaimed giftcard with the following information:
Email of the recipient
Gift card amount
Your Tango Account name
Your Tango Account number
Our support team will reach out to Tango to cancel the reward.
Note: Tango charges a 25% fee to cancel giftcards that is deducted from the refund amount.
