What are Payouts?

Payouts refer to the various methods used to distribute rewards to your members and/or referrals. To configure your payouts, you can visit our Payouts page to manage your payout balances, reward emails, and general reward settings.

Type and Funding

Referral Rock offers several payout types (each with its own funding options):

Gift Cards

This premium payout is available on our Professional Plus and Engage Plus plans.

On the Gift Cards icon on the Reward Payouts page, select Manage Account to view funding instructions (by credit card or ACH transfer), set a low amount notification, and view funding history. You may also customize the email for each type of gift card associated with your reward rules. Also, review our detailed Tango instructions.

When funding your gift card account with a credit card, you will be sent a security code to the email address used to set up the Tango account. Enter that code in the box provided to proceed with funding the account.

For security purposes, Tango applies default credit card funding limits to each account on a platform:

  • For the first 72 hours after registering a new credit card, a maximum of three funding transactions for a maximum of $1,000.00 each can be made in a rolling 24 hour period.

  • Credit cards registered for longer than 72 hours can be used to make a maximum of three funding transactions for a maximum of $3,000.00 each in a rolling 24 hour period.

PayPal

This premium payout is available on our Professional Plus and Engage Plus plans.

On the PayPal icon on the Reward Payouts page, select Manage Account to set up low balance alerts. You may also customize the Recipient Email. To fund your PayPal account and for more information, see our detailed PayPal instructions

PayPal's Available Balance cannot be displayed because only PayPal partners can view the account balance. Please check your PayPal account manually.

Note: Funding can take 3-5 business days to appear in account.

Wise

This premium payout is available on our Professional Plus and Engage Plus plans.

On the Wise icon on the Reward Payouts page, click Manage Account to your Wise connection and set your low balance notification. You will fund your Wise rewards from your Wise business account, see detailed Wise instructions for more information.

Coupons

On the Coupons icon on the Reward Payouts page, you will be able to Manage Coupon Set and Recipient Email. These options will allow you to see coupons owed, coupons redeemed, and adjust your coupon settings.

Coupon codes can be imported into Referral Rock. Alternatively, you may choose for Referral Rock to randomly generate codes on your behalf, or you may set a fixed coupon code.

Custom Rewards

On the Custom Rewards icon on the Reward Payouts page, you will be able to manage your previously created Custom Rewards (i.e., Swag Hoodie in the example below).

From there, you may edit the Recipient email sent when the reward is received as well as the option to customize the units of the custom reward to best fit what the reward is.

Payouts Settings

These settings allow you to further customize how your Payouts work.

Payment History

Click on the Payment History option to see a detailed log of all issued payments.

Schedule Payments

Click on the Schedule Payouts option to issue Payouts automatically based on the rules you decide.

On the dropdown next to each Payout type you will be able to set your desired schedule for paying out various rewards. The options allow you to automatically issue all eligible pending rewards daily, weekly, or monthly.

Note: All scheduled payouts are issued at approximately 07:00AM (12:00 UTC).

Issue by Recipient

Click on this option to display all payments organized by Type or Recipient, allowing for easy batch payments instead of needing to individually issue each Payout.

Annual Payment Limits

Click on the Annual Payment Limits to see your Payouts and respective limits. This option lets you limit Annual Payments to $599 per recipient per calendar year.

If you choose to limit annual payments, recipients will not receive payouts above the limit unless they are approved for excess payments. Payment limits are reset at the beginning of each new calendar year. This can be enabled for any Payout type.

Note: Keep in mind that Payment limits are reset at the beginning of each new calendar year.

Recipient Reward Experience

Here is how your recipients will experience rewards:

  • Gift Card: We partner with Tango to fulfill all gift card rewards for your members and referrals. The cards are sent to the email recipients used on their Referral Rock profile.

  • Wise: Recipients of a Wise reward will receive an email from your Business account asking them to complete their transfer with their own Wise account.

  • Prepaid MasterCard Redemption: The recipient will receive an email to redeem their MasterCard card.
