Learn about the Member Portal & How to Customize it

Updated this week

Each member has their own Portal to share, access their referrals/rewards, update their details, and learn more about your program. It’s the central hub of your program and the member’s experience.

Navigating The Portal Editor

Understanding each section and functionality of the Member Portal is essential to build highly engaging referral programs. Below is a short video on how to navigate the different options.

To edit and view each page of the Member Portal:

  2. Select the page of the portal that you wish to edit from the drop-down menu

    1. Program Landing: Primary interaction page for Members

    2. Terms & Conditions: Terms and conditions of the Referral Program.

    3. Member Dashboard: Main dashboard for your Referral Program.

How to Use the Program Landing Page

The Program Landing Page will show the dual login/register screen with three options to continue: Continue with Email, Continue with Google or, Continue with Facebook

Once the member selects the option that works best for them to refer their friends to your Referral Program, they will be able to access the Member Portal and start their journey.

Note: This is a public page, meaning that anyone with the link to your program will be able to access it.

How to Use the Terms & Conditions Page

The Terms & Conditions section is the primary place where you can include all of the FAQs your Members may have. By default, a “Not to be combined with any other offer.” condition will be present, but you may change it to better fit your Referral Program Objectives.

To edit this page simply click on the Edit Page, Edit Text, or Brand Settings (page, pencil, and gear icon located on the top left navigation bar)

Brand Settings and Text Copy

Editing the language and branding is also essential to ensure a seamless experience in the Member Portal.

As we have mentioned already, clicking on the Brand Settings button (gear icon) on the top left corner of the program or here is the easiest way to do it. Following the instructions on the pop-up window, you may personalize the member dashboard to fit your brand guidelines and edit the images and text for the portal's main pages.

Note: The ideal image size for the Desktop Header is 400 x 70 pixels and 200 x 70 pixels for the Mobile Header. (If no headers are specified in either Desktop or Mobile, your Standard Header will be displayed).

Language & Text

You may also change the Language and Text options on your Referral Program depending on your objectives.

To do so, click on the Edit Text option (pencil icon) on the top left corner or click here. On this pop-up you may customize all of the labels for the member portal to better match your brand experience.

Note: Keep in mind that the Program Landing Page and the Terms & Conditions pages can be accessed by anyone with the URL. All other pages are only accessible after registering or logging in to your referral program.

Portal Experience (for Members)

Once members sign up for your Referral Program, they will be able to access the dashboard with all referral program information, sharing options, and high-level performance statistics you previously customized to match your Referral Program objectives.

To have a clear perspective of what the Portal Member Experience looks like, please visit the Member Promotion section in our Testing & Troubleshooting entry for more information.

Note: Keep in mind that given that New Members just signed up for your program both the My Referrals and My Rewards sections will show the Zero State option to facilitate sharing.
